Continuing through Covid

The install team have recently handed over a new goods lift in London to a customer opening a new store. The new shop will play a vital role in providing essentials to the local community.

The customer for this project placed the order with Lӧdige for a new goods only lift at the beginning of the year with a very tight project timeline. Being a repeat customer, the client wanted the same, high quality product that they had purchased previously for another location. The lift on this occasion is a Sherpa goods only lift with a 5 meter travel that has allowed for easy movement of goods between floors. It is important that this store has a reliable and hardwearing goods lift due to the busyness experienced day to day. There was a pause in the project early April due to the lockdown restrictions, but the team worked hard and safe to ensure the install was finished on time.

The Sherpa goods lift is a free-standing unit that has no requirement for a lift pit or motor room. A small recess can be used or a ramp.

This project has been a great example of how people can pull together and work efficiently through difficult times. The installation team at Lӧdige have strict guidelines to follow to ensure they are working safely during Covid-19.
