Lödige UK celebrates anniversary of longest serving employee: Birgit Johnson

March 2018 marks Birgit Johnson’s 22nd year working at Lödige UK. Birgit is Lödige UK’s longest serving employee, she first joined in March 1996 working as the company’s Office Manager at the BA World Cargo site, looking after the Lödige engineers and co-ordinating the project. She moved into Sales in 1998, in what was meant to be a temporary move. However, covering the goods lift range Birgit fell in love with the role and the product and decided to make the move permanent. Birgit has since sold more than 1000 lifts in the UK and Ireland and has built relationships with many valued customers that the company continues to work with today. They value her professional and customer focused approach and have come to expect her to put the customer’s needs first every time.

Birgit's rather amazing multi-lingual skills have made her a great asset in international communications across the company. She knows the Lödige products inside out and has vast industry knowledge, giving her the ability to suggest the best solution to customers’ requirements, making her a real asset to the company and its customers alike.

In celebrating her achievement the company stressed that she represents some of the core values of Lödige: consistency, reliability, efficiency and commitment.

Financial Director Maxine Wells commented: “‘I would like to express my personal appreciation of this milestone. Birgit is an important part of Lödige. She is a very dedicated and focused individual who’s passion and determination have contributed greatly to the success of Lödige in the UK. Thank you for being such a valuable member of our team.”

Birgit Johnson acknowledged her continued enjoyment in the role: ‘I love my job, the most enjoyable part is meeting my clients - I have met some amazing people over the years. We have a great product that I am proud of. We have a fantastic team here at Lödige which makes my work life a happy one, I feel lucky to be part of such a great family orientated organisation. ’
