Growth in self-storage use leads to reliable commercial lift demand

The 15th annual industry report from the Self Storage Association UK has shown that the use of self-storage space in the UK has reached a record level, with 82% of lettable space occupied. This adds up to the largest annual increase in occupancy levels since records began in 2004.

This is just one of the reasons that following the Recent Annual Conference of Fedessa we were delighted to hear of the constant investment opportunity in the self-storage industry. There were 346 sites in the UK in 2015 and over 1900 in 2021. The UK now has the second-largest self-storage industry in Europe, with a large number of innovations taking place in order to make it a more user-friendly and client-focused facility.

Lödige is proud to be a proactive member of Fedessa and continues to support and supply many other members on their journey from a landowner to a business owner. We specialise in commercial or goods lifts to help their self-storage clients to safely, quickly, and reliably move their belongings and/or stock between floors to their storage units.

In addition to providing these commercial lifts, we also ensure that existing installations are kept in reliable working order to keep their clients happy, and able to access their possessions at all times. Lödige Industries give bespoke maintenance services for equipment from single machines to fully automated systems, with a guaranteed fast response even if the equipment wasn’t delivered by Lödige.

Lödige also holds an impressive track record for enhancing or modernising existing systems, without interrupting the day-to-day running of the business.

Please get in touch with the team if you are looking to make your next move to build or improve a self-storage facility, providing a high class of service that ensures you keep your clients happy and your occupancy full.
