The Bigger Picture

Lödige Industries was first established in 1948 by Alois Lödige, a graduate engineer. The first product produced was called the Hubfix which was unveiled in Frankfurt at the first industrial exhibition after the war. The company is still family owned today and has more than 1,000 employees worldwide. With offices across the globe, this privately owned company is active in over 40 countries.

All products are designed and manufactured in house by experienced and highly qualified employees. From 2 stop goods lifts to a fully automated car parking system that can move 1,000 cars – Lödige staff treat all projects with the upmost importance. A staggering 50,000 projects have been designed, manufactured and installed internationally over the last 70 years.

The Hubfix, as pictured was the start of the journey into hydraulic scissor car lifts for Lödige. The company’s technology has evolved throughout the years to create the high quality and reliable products that are used today. The factory in Warburg opened in 1965 and is still used today to produce thousands of products. In the UK currently there is a double scissor car lift being installed in Kensington. Car lifts are increasingly more popular in cities such as London and Manchester due to the lack of space available for parking.

The two most effective solutions for creating more parking spaces is to install either a car lift or an automated car garage. There are many factors and benefits to these products;

  • More rentable space (parking spaces)
  • Increased security
  • Lowered insurance costs
  • Maximum return on investment
  • Added wow factor

There is a wide range of products available from Lödige; goods lifts, car lifts, lorry lifts, van lifts, automated car park systems, hydraulic lifts and airport logistics. As the process from design, through manufacture and into installation is handled in house – projects are monitored closely. There are large testing areas in the factory where the high quality parts have been tested to perfection over the years.

Lödige work closely with Architects and Contractors globally from the beginning of project timeline. They can assist with budget costs, design, drawings, specifications and tenders.
