Munich, Paderborn 11. February 2022 - At the BMW Group plant in Munich, a wide variety of freight and passenger lifts with payloads of up to 20 tonnes connect the various production areas and contribute to smooth processes at one of the most modern locations in the automotive industry. Lödige Fördertechnik GmbH, a subsidiary of Lödige Industries GmbH, will be responsible for the functioning of the total of 309 lifts in the main plant itself and in the research and commercial buildings of the BMW Group in Munich from autumn 2022. The leading provider of lift solutions was commissioned with a comprehensive support package in January.

With its own service office directly on the factory premises, a team of technicians, some of them working in three shifts, will in future ensure that neither the 118 lifts at the main factory nor the other installations in the city area come to a standstill. In the past, Lödige Industries has already been responsible for the delivery of various lifts at the site for the BMW Group, including four installations with a payload of 15 tonnes each in 2021, and has extensive experience with a wide variety of lift systems. In addition, Lödige Industries has developed and implemented conveyor system solutions for automobile production for the BMW Group in Munich and at other locations worldwide, as well as for other well-known manufacturers. In total, the company looks after several thousand goods and passenger lifts remotely at the company's own Customer Care Centre in Paderborn.

"In the automotive industry, neither assembly lines nor lifts are allowed to stand still. As a long-standing partner of the BMW Group, we are familiar with the high demands in the area of production at the site and with our round-the-clock service we can look after all lift systems comprehensively and according to the latest standards," says Emanuel Roman, Branch Management Germany-South at Lödige Industries, and adds: "The order from the BMW Group in Munich is our largest maintenance contract in Germany to date. With this, we are continuing our growth course and further expanding our worldwide team of currently around 1100 employees. Numerous new hires of lift fitters are planned for this and other projects."
