Lödige Industries Moving Props for the TV World

The end user for this project stores large amounts of props for a well-known, long running global TV series.

With such iconic and fragile props to move, a safe and secure way of transporting objects between floors was required. The customer had originally planned to use a few pallet gates and a forklift to move goods between levels but after carrying out some research, they decided this was not a suitable solution for them. There was a lot of risk with goods getting damaged and they only have 1 trained fork lift driver which would cause potential delays. The Sherpa by Lödige Industries is a reliable and hard waring goods lift that requires very little builders works. This lift is easy to use and quick to install. Whereas the Sherpa is for the movement of goods only, there is an Escorta model which permits the movement of goods along with a trained attendant. Both are free standing lifts that come with their own cladded shaft so no brick shaft is required. There is also no need for a motor room or lift pit.

The installation of this project went on during lockdown which at times had its difficulties due to the restrictions on travel. The project manager went above and beyond to ensure the project was finished and handed over on time.

In further news, a new project has been secured to provide 2 new goods lifts for a British TV provider to store props and archive items which will be installed in 2021.
