New Goods Lift Handed Over in Birmingham

Lödige Industries UK has recently handed over a new lift for a global supply chain customer in Birmingham.

The customer on this project has received 2 lifts from Lödige Industries in the past. They were so happy with the quality and performance of the current lifts that when the time came to grow their business, Lödige Industries were the first company on the contact list.

A Sherpa goods only lift was the product installed, with 4 stops and a travel of an impressive 10 meters. 2,000 kg can be moved at a time at a speed of 0,2 meters per second. The Sherpa is a free-standing unit that does not require a separate lift shaft to be built. There is also no requirement for either a lift pit or motor room with this model.

There were some special requests from the customer for additions to the standard model which Lödige were happy to meet. A traffic light landing system was one of the additions that has a great effect in helping staff know the position of the lift before arriving to in front of it to call.

All the Lödige products are manufactured in house at the Lödige Industries factory in Warburg, Germany. Being a family run company, a lot of pride is taken in reputation.
